| Housing Associations |
We can assist Housing
Associations with many of its legal requirements.
For example we can prosecute possession claims
on behalf of social landlords. Although rent arrear
cases are normally dealt with by Housing Associations
'in house', the use of solicitors can
still be a cost effective exercise as it avoids
the necessity of Housing Officers attending Court,
allowing them more time to devote to the management
of properties. We can also assist when tenants have
breached the terms of their tenancy, in particular
if they have been causing nuisance. We can advise
in relation to members of a family succeeding to
a tenancy, the implications of any sub letting,
surrender, or the options available to a social
landlord when a tenant is no longer using a property
as his or her only or principal home.
Eastleys also have considerable experience in relation
to the area of disrepair claims and can defend any
proceedings brought by tenants arising out of the
same. |
