The Landlord and Tenant
Act 1954 largely governs the area of Commercial
Leases. As long ago as 1992 the Law Commission suggested
amendments to this Act. These suggestions are finally
to become law this year. When they do become law
the area of commercial letting will be dramatically
changed. We can help advise on the consequences
of these changes as well as advising and assisting
both Landlords and Tenants in connection with forfeiture
of leases, recovery of rent arrears and dilapidations.
